Standardize internal helpers and protect property accessors

Use one leading underscore for implementation helpers while retaining Ruby callbacks, documented conversion hooks and public double-underscore override aliases. Keep existing methods intact when declaring Dash/Trash properties, validate through brackets, protect translated source writers, and stop generated Mash accessors from replacing private or protected helpers.
