Collapse repeated slashes in the current path

A proxy that forwards to a path with a trailing slash (for example an
nginx proxy_pass to http://app/ from a location without one) sends
//auth/:provider, which never matched the request or callback path, so
the request fell through to the app. Collapse repeated slashes, as
Rails routing does.
