Reject non-XPath number strings in string to number conversion

XPath 1.0 only converts optional whitespace, an optional minus sign and
a decimal number to a number; anything else is NaN. strconv.ParseFloat
also accepted "+5", "Infinity", "inf", "NaN", hex floats and digit
underscores, and TrimSpace stripped non-XML whitespace, so number('+5')
returned 5 and '+1' = 1 was true. Exponents keep working as before.
