- bind: improve the BIND lexer/tokenizer robustness (#70)
- BIND input goes through an RFC 1035 lexer and one importer driven by
each type's rdataFields. Those field types now drive wire encoding and
decoding. Rdata is validated against its RFC before it is stored. Values
are stored in canonical form so a record converts between BIND, tinydns,
MaraDNS and wire without loss. Test cases were validated against 8 DNS
servers (npm run interop) and a fuzzer. Most per-type importers and
encoders are gone. Several changes break compatibility: records that
earlier versions accepted may be rejected, stored values may change case
or order.
