restyle listing, login and preview pages (#61)

* ui: restyle listing, login and preview pages

leave more room for files by keeping navigation and actions in one bar and the footer in page flow. The brand color fills the block containing the brand name, or a thin line along the top of the bar when no name is set.

make the modal close link respond as soon as it is visible. HTMX attaches hx-on handlers during settle, which leaves a short window where the close action does nothing.

* fix dark hover on download button and site branding text

the dark theme hover rule for buttons outranked .download-selected-btn:hover and turned its label dark on a dark background. Wrapping the theme selector in :where() drops the rule below any component hover rule, so only the plain login button still gets dark text on its light blue hover.

site/docs/index.md gets the same two branding lines as README. The file is edited by hand because the site copy and README have drifted apart elsewhere, and make prep_site would overwrite the site-only wording.

* docs: regenerate site copy of README

site/docs/index.md had fallen behind README, omitting the exclusions and recursive-mtime sections and details about folder uploads and Markdown rendering. Regenerated with make prep_site, preserving the intentional badge and logo-path transformations.
