executor: add error-exit KeepAlive restart test

The clean-exit restart test covers the new branch; the error-exit path
was the only restart path before and had no coverage at all, so a
future change could regress either branch in isolation without a
failing test.

The test polls the run counter instead of subscribing to executor
events: cancelling the executor closes subscriber channels while the
invalidation loop can still be publishing into them, which panics on
send to a closed channel. That shutdown ordering gap is pre-existing
upstream behavior (also reachable without a subscriber when cancel
lands in the window); covering it belongs in its own change.
