perf(server): a front writes a string or array read in place as it is

A Read served from the shared heap wrapped its bytes in a Variant by
decoding them, then encoded that Variant again for the response. The
bytes now go into an EncodedVariant and from there into the response
unchanged; a value is decoded only if something reads it (a monitored
item comparing values, a user hook).
