test: close remaining production coverage gaps (#1154)

## Summary

- raise production coverage above the repository targets with
branch-focused contract tests
- cover local/remote routing, resume recovery, portable delegation,
credential persistence, Restic discovery, provider parsing, target
serving, HTTP classification, merge-plan validation, subscription
failures, real stdin, and signal-shutdown boundaries
- consolidate redundant assertions, avoid process-global mocks and port
races, and keep the added test runtime negligible
- enforce 95% lines, 92% regions/functions, and 80% per-file material
coverage as real CI gates

## Validation

- clean GitHub runner: 95.25% lines, 92.05% regions, 93.35% functions
- material-file gate passed: at least 80% lines and regions for every
file with at least 150 regions
- `cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets --all-features -- -D warnings`
- `cargo fmt --all -- --check`
- focused client subscription, HTTP error, merge-plan, direct-target
profile, and signal-shutdown tests
- Opcore changed and staged checks; no gaps, cycles, or introduced
duplicates
