Raise ValueError for out-of-range numeric day_of_week values (#1130)

A numeric ``day_of_week`` value outside the documented 0-7 range (e.g. ``"8"`` or the range endpoint in ``"0-8"``) was mapped straight into ``WEEKDAYS``, raising a bare ``IndexError: list index out of range`` instead of a clear error. Validate the numeric bounds before the mapping and raise a descriptive ``ValueError``, mirroring the existing invalid-weekday-name message.
