docs: describe Alioth as a virtual machine monitor

Alioth itself does not implement the hypervisor; it relies on KVM on
Linux and Apple's Hypervisor framework on macOS. Calling it a Type-2
hypervisor is therefore inaccurate, so use the more appropriate term
virtual machine monitor (VMM) in the README and crate descriptions.
