isolate the contract test from the calcgeoh in-place t mutation (#819)

calcgeoh converts temperature to virtual temperature with an in-place multiply,
so the caller's array comes back inflated by up to 0.65 % and _find_e and both
refractivity getters then see moisture-inflated temperatures. That is a real
defect with real consequences for callers, but it is not the one this PR fixes,
and leaving it in the loop meant these assertions measured two things at once
-- 3.26 mm RMS against a 5 mm threshold rather than 1.55.

Passing t as a copy isolates the pressure path. When #819 lands, drop the
.copy() and the numbers should not move.
