update dependencies to latest compatible versions

Ran cargo upgrade followed by cargo update.

Manifest: tower-http 0.7.0 -> 0.7.1 (the only direct dependency behind
latest; the other 35 were already current).

Lockfile: ~40 transitive bumps, notably rustls 0.23.43 -> 0.23.44,
rustls-webpki 0.103.14 -> 0.103.15, hyper 1.11.0 -> 1.11.1,
h2 0.4.16 -> 0.4.19, tokio-rustls 0.26.4 -> 0.26.5, uuid 1.24.1 -> 1.26.0,
mio 1.2.2 -> 1.2.3, indexmap 2.14.0 -> 2.14.2, log 0.4.33 -> 0.4.34 and
smallvec 1.15.2 -> 1.16.0. No downgrades.

Two transitive crates cannot move and are documented rather than forced:

- matchit is held at 0.8.4 by an exact "=0.8.4" requirement in axum 0.8.9,
  so it can only move when axum does.
- crypto-common 0.1.x is held by digest 0.10 via sqlx. Forcing 0.1.7 pulls
  generic-array backwards from 0.14.9 to 0.14.7, so it is left alone.

Validation after the update: 798 passed, 0 failed;
clippy --all-targets --all-features and fmt --check clean.
