Short-circuit general object arrays

In addition to datetime and timedelta arrays, general `object` arrays
should also be handled using the "normal" binary operations. No need
to use astropy `Quantities` for that.

Fixes for example `cftime` datetime arrays which are handled as `object`
arrays internally by xarray. Makes `cftime` datatime array operations
with `pandas` timedelta objects work properly (again).
