chore: guard wpdb::prepare() against null and raise PHPStan to level 8 (#52)

Level 8 checks calls and property reads against nullable types. Trusted
reported a single finding: wpdb::prepare() is typed string|null and
wpdb::query() takes a plain string, so the nested call in
AssignmentRepository::assignIfOpen() is a possible null argument.

The SQL now goes into a local and is guarded before reaching query().
Returning null rather than throwing, because assignIfOpen() already
documents null as "slot already taken (or the insert failed)" — a
prepare() failure is that second case, so it needs no separate signal.

No baseline entries added. phpstan, phpcs and 250 tests green.
