PROTOTYPE: rendering controls to dial in the look

Adds a slider box under the three panels for arrow length, thickness,
opacity, scale max, zoom, colormap and the force scale mode, applied live to
all three viewers. The point is to stop guessing which settings reproduce the
static figure and let them be found by hand.

Thickness around 0.35 with opacity around 0.55 gets close: thin
semi-transparent needles make the whole volume visible instead of only the
high-magnitude lobes.

Not for merging.
