Make unstyled equal text use the lower-weight DOM path by default while
keeping compact=false as the legacy span compatibility escape hatch.

Document the 0.4.0 migration in package and docs-site guidance, and make
diagnostic 004 visibly compare the legacy and default DOM at its 25 ms
ceiling.
