Merge pull request #2202 from XhmikosR/xmr/fixes

Assorted GUI and CLI fixes

- CLI `--clean doesnotexist.*` returns friendly "not a valid cleaner" instead
  of multiline KeyError error message.

- Improve detection of dark-mode on GTK themes that do not define theme_bg_color.

- Prevent crash when checking for updates if update server returned
  malformed response.

- Prevent a potential crash when two delayed operations share the same priority.
  This is defensive, not currently able to be triggered.
