Add `basic_node::erase` method (#530)

* added node::remove method

* Changed remove method to erase

* Add tests and documentation for basic_node::erase

- Cover existing, missing, node, and alias mapping keys
- Verify type errors for non-mapping nodes
- Add API documentation and a compilable example
- Keep the regular and single-header APIs consistent

* Return size_type from basic_node::erase
