Refresh the repository's entry-point and contributor documentation so it
matches the current OpenRaft API, release line, and protocol guidance.

- Point README guidance at the 0.10 alpha API, update renamed trigger and
  runtime-configuration references, and align its performance summary with
  the benchmark table.
- Clarify contributor and development guidance, preserve the historical release
  record, and correct mechanical errors in the Raft essentials reference.
