Commit Message

Fix copier round-trip test for build artifacts and add scripts/ entry point

Exclude .install and docs/html (build artifacts) and check_copier.sh
(repo-only script) from the diff in check_copier.sh. Add
scripts/check_copier.sh as a convenient entry point for running the
copier consistency check.
