feat: Close app after launching installer on Windows update

When the Windows Check updates flow finishes downloading and launches the
installer, the GUI now schedules `_on_close` (guarded by
`sys.platform == "win32"`) so the app quits and the installer can overwrite the
running executable without a file-in-use conflict. Non-Windows platforms keep
their existing behavior. Adds tests covering the Windows-closes / other-stays
paths and updates the README and CLAUDE.md docs.
