perf: run extra-message deletions off the update loop

deleteExtraMessages sleeps 35ms between deletions for rate limiting, and it
ran inline in event processing on the single-threaded update loop: a bulk
cleanup (duplicate detector, short-msg-flood) stalled all update handling for
N*35ms. Run it in a goroutine, the same pattern admin's aggressiveCleanup
already uses. Tests updated to wait for the async deletions.
