Drop _update_prop covariance type: ignore by removing redundant param (#216)

The covariant TypeVar GO_co was used in an input position, requiring a
`type: ignore[misc]`. Every caller passed `self.obj_ref`, so the parameter
was redundant; reading `self.obj_ref` directly removes the variance
violation without any cast or other workaround.
