fix: CI build failures - coverage dir, module resolution, Node 20 deprecation

- Create coverage/ directory before running test:ci to fix ENOENT error when lcov reporter tries to write coverage/lcov.info

- Normalize double slashes in module path resolution to fix regression from 8bc6223 where require(..) from root produced //index.js

- Upgrade Node version from 20 to 24 in CI and Deploy workflows to address Node 20 deprecation warning
