x/raytracing: improve robustness of traces; add generalized gratings, and introduce parabasal "ABCD" approach for generalized systems (incl, off-axis)

- add bounding calculation on aspheric/freeform surfaces and recovery
  techniques to handle extremely aggressive surfaces

  Base newton-raphson iteration can convert to an unphysical root
  compute a bounding box from the maximum sag of the surface over the
  rays; perform basic NR iteration.  If it converges outside this box
  implied by the max sag, use a more guided approach to attempt to
  converge to the correct root.  May still fail on extremely aggressive
  aspheres where the local curvature changes sign on a finer scale than
  the ray sampling grid

- add generalized diffractive phase surfaces; the superset of all gratings

- use forward-mode algorithmic differentiation to compute second order
  analytical derivatives about the base ray.  2nd order = parabolic
  parabasal = parabolic about BASE ray

  this allows for robust (x-) and (y-) axis paraxial quantities to be
  computed for any system (for which a chief ray will trace...), without
  resorting to finite differences or other techniques which may have
  numerical cancellation
