* Making doctest pass
* Adds doctest to CI/CD
* Adds line length and improves example standardisation
* Putting whitespace in formulas
* Adds doctest to pre-commit

AI Usage Summary: This work was done with the assistance of Claude Sonnet 4.6. It did automatic reformatting of code examples, such as getting the correct indentation. It helped diagnose issues with doctest failures. It helped resolve git workflows. Significant human review from two reviewers was performed over the changes.
