fix(examples): migrate chess Token to componentDidUpdate

Under React 19 + StrictMode, UNSAFE_componentWillReceiveProps emits a
console.error, which Parcel 2's react-refresh runtime promotes to a
blocking dev overlay — the chess example looked like it was crashing
on load. Same animation semantics, modern lifecycle.
