Make test.sh xdist-conditional so CI without pytest-xdist passes (#287)

CI runs against a base install (requirements.txt only); pytest-xdist
isn't pulled in there. The bare ``pytest -n 2`` introduced alongside
the xdist worker-cap commentary fails with ``unrecognized arguments:
-n`` in that environment.

Detect xdist at runtime and only pass ``-n 2`` when it's importable.
Local dev keeps parallel workers; CI falls back to serial.

This was originally pushed to the candidate-epitope-migration branch
(commit 340bbdb) but missed the squash because the merge was queued
via ``gh pr merge --auto`` before the fix was pushed and executed
immediately (no required-checks gate on the repo).
