feat #371 simulator_from_config() accepts diffractometer instance (#378)

Accept a DiffractometerBase instance directly (in addition to dict, str,
or Path); the instance's configuration snapshot is used.  Simplify
benchmark() to leverage the new ergonomic.  Add @versionchanged decorator
and AGENTS.md guidance for maintaining version decorators.
