* docs: clarify Serverless v3 / Node.js 20 support and update example runtimes

Add a prominent notice to the README clarifying that this project
supports Serverless Framework v3 and Node.js 20, and that upgrading to
Node.js 22 requires Serverless v4. Invite users to open issues or PRs
if they want v4/Node 22 support. Also update the outdated prerequisites
section and bump example runtimes from nodejs14.x to nodejs20.x.

* ci: inline test workflow and add Node.js 20 to matrix

Replace the shared npm-tester workflow with an inlined version using
ubuntu-latest and up-to-date actions. Add Node.js 20 to the test
matrix alongside 14, 16, and 18 for backward compatibility testing.
