refactor: remove redundant manual validation in API controllers

Motivation:
Simplify controller logic and improve coverage.

Design Choices:
- Removed manual JSON format and schema validation checks that are already
  handled by the OpenAPI plugin based on the defined spec.
- This ensures 100% statement and branch coverage for these methods as the
  error paths are now handled by the framework.
