fix: remove defensive nil checks on metricRegistry

Remove unnecessary nil checks for metricRegistry in sendMetrics().
The metricRegistry is always initialized before the metrics goroutine
starts, so the nil checks are not needed and don't match v5's approach.

Simplifies:
  collectedMetrics := impactmetrics.CollectedMetrics(nil)
  if m.metricRegistry != nil {
    collectedMetrics = impactmetrics.CollectedMetrics(m.metricRegistry.Collect())
  }

To:
  collectedMetrics := impactmetrics.CollectedMetrics(m.metricRegistry.Collect())
