fix: resolve mypy type errors across codebase

- Add type annotations for container variables (Queue, list, dict)
- Add type: ignore comments for external library type mismatches
- Fix function attribute access patterns (prev_mode, last_flow, etc.)
- Add type: ignore for control_message None check (guaranteed by early return)
- Fix Event | None union attribute access with proper null checks
- Cast docopt argument values to proper types
