Refactor get_sc_fermi to use scipy.optimize.brentq (#52)

Replaced custom bisection-like solver with scipy's Brent's method.
This is simpler, more robust, and better tested.

The n_trial_steps parameter is mapped to maxiter for backwards
compatibility, though Brent's method typically converges in <50
iterations so this may be deprecated in future.
