fix: implement exceptional state handling in ClientManager contexts

Currently, ClientManager context managers do not guard resource
management against exceptional states within the respective contexts.
Particularly, managed clients will should be closed if an exception
happens within a client context.

The change implement exceptional state handling in ClientManager
contexts by wrapping client context logic in try/except.
