configuration: remove etcd/zookeeper backends info

As we're dropping etcd/zookeeper configuration  backend
support in favor of something easier, the readme is
updated, removing any information about those
backends and removing also the `storage_type` field from
the configuration yaml examples as this will be removed
soon.
