refactor: standardize string list field naming to use selected index

Replace defaultIndex with selectedIndex in StringListFieldConfig to maintain
consistent naming between schema definitions and runtime values, eliminating
confusion about two different names for the same concept.

- Update StringListFieldConfig interface to use selectedIndex
- Update mergeWithDefaults function to reference renamed property
- Update all test cases referencing defaultIndex
- Add 13 comprehensive tests for mergeWithDefaults function covering:
  - Explicit values vs defaults
  - STRING_LIST with various selectedIndex values
  - Mixed schemas with partial values
  - Edge cases and real-world scenarios
