Tune the hasNextItem check for corner cases.

Solution implemented by this commit was invented by trying and failing
until both TransactionTesttestHasNextItemContamination() and
TransactionTest::testNotAllChildrenHasNextItem() passed. When I am in
better mental shape it would be nice to approach it from more
theoretical perspective.
