fix(bitstrings): refactor to use arrays of bytes rather than arrays of bits (#36)

* fixes broken bitstring implementation that was producing bit arrays rather than byte arrays

* drops Byte type as there's no easy way to model a number between 0 and 255 in TS

* makes generic bitstring class instantiable on its own

* adds unit tests for bitstring classes

* adds test making sure that value length matches byte count

* removes leftover test draft
