### What kind of change does this PR introduce?

* Don't use `harmonize_units` because we need the str of units

### Does this PR introduce a breaking change?

Units will be outputted correctly

### Other information:

That always didn't make sense. @harmonize_units could be used with
`units` if it,s only needed for conversions. I could write another
decorator `batch_convert` where the reference argument is not
transformed. But I'm starting think this decorator was some fancy
programming with no much real added value, sadly.
