Some fixes in the new sprite rendering

First of all is the switch to using Triangles instead TriangleStrip,
since we have a bunch of unconnected sprites.

Also I replaced two separate arrays of x and y coordinates with a single
array of Vec2f, which not only makes the method signature more concise,
but also avoids the need to juggle the floats between containers.
