Remove primitive type imports, i.e. `core::str`, `core::i16`. (#5071)

The only place these are needed is `core::str::from_utf8[_unchecked]`,
which is only available in the `core::str` module, not in the `str`
type. We do pretty consistently fully qualify these methods though, so I
changed the remaining calls to do that.
