Fix Plasma add_mode bug

When the add_mode is not explicitly set, the layout determines the
appropriate mode based on the dimensions of the current node. However,
this check is done at the time the client is added. This means that the
hook to display the add_mode in a widget is not currently aware of the
mode that will be applied.

This PR changes the the mechanism for determining the add_mode so that
the widget's display will match the layout.
