feat: Parallelize table extension (#294)

The extension process is already parallelized over all tables. This PR
increases parallelization over all *columns*, even within some tables.
Additionally, it adds functionality for slicing a mutable 2d array into
multiple mutable slices, and furthermore some extension column
populators are re-written to make use of batch-inversion.
