Fix for #596 (#597)

* initial work on `TypeWrap`

* uncommented tests that are now working nicely

* added `matchingvalue` impl for `TypeWrap` so we will correctly convert

* simplified `transform_args` a tiny bit

* Apply suggestions from code review
