Fix MyPy warnings (#837)

Limitations preventing full fix:
* We're intentionally violating Liskov principle in size argument
* We have to deal with `bytes` arguments even if 99,9% of render need `str`
* MyPy not allow covariant call arguments,
  defining API protocol for each widget is not a goal for current PR
* We have to support deprecated code in downstream during deprecation period
* We have to deal with upstream libs limitations
