util/commandline: ignore broken pipes

Fixes errors such as the following:

close failed in file object destructor:
sys.excepthook is missing
lost sys.stderr

where the SIGPIPE signal arrives after various parts of the sys module
have already been torn down. Generally we don't care and should just
close quietly instead of throwing errors or backtraces.
