Return empty hash or array on blank values

Previously the dict and list types casted a blank value to nil, but as
empty arrays or object are `blank?` when asking ActiveSupport the
following code fails, assuming `preferences` is a dict type:

    self.preferences = {}
    self.preferences[:a] = 1

This commit changes the behavior of the dict and list types to cast
blank values to empty hash or array.
