ISSUE #7 Rewrite database controller

Many changes: remove db.json from git, create a init method to create
the database on start-up, change the 'philae' call to push objects into
the trace (locations) rather than insert the full record, and other
minor clean up and refactor.

API test changed to follow the rename of the attributes.
