Better error handling with ErrGroup (#2430)

In the webhook validator, and when removing the sub-operands on
deletion replace the current async implementation from
using a `WaitGroup` with channel based error handling, with the simpler
error handling dedicated `ErrGroup` to get cleaner and more readable
code.
